with respect and dignity. We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families
can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of
America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great
sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
Getting involved in your local DAV Chapter is one of the many ways you can reach out
to fellow veterans in your community.
DAV Chapter members usually meet monthly to network and discuss issues of importance
to veterans and the organization. Legislation, volunteer efforts and community
projects are among the topics discussed, as well as upcoming events and activities.
DAV and DAVA Member's Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month
@ 4:00 PM. Executive Board Meetings are held @ 3:00 PM

Evolving from a ‘standby’ force for emergencies into a Major Command or MAJCOM of the “Active Duty Air Force,” the Air Force Reserve has become a vital part of the nation’s defense. It’s made up of the ‘4th Air Force,’ ‘10th Air Force,’ and ‘22nd Air Force. As the Commander in Chief, the President of the U.S. is recognized as its highest authority.

I am thanking all that participated, as well as those that were with us all in spirit, in the 4th of July 2022 Veterans Parade.
It was a wonderful day, and we were all very proud to represent our Chapter and Unit 84.
REMINDER
All Veterans, please remember to have a will or trust, and all of your personal business in order. If your will or trust was written in another state, it is no good in Florida! If it is 20 years old or more, it's no good, update it! Use an attorney of your choice.
Mel Stack is available and will offer Veterans a discount for his service. If you're a retired Military Veteran or 100% disabled, this service is available on any military base. You must call to make an appointment.

New Members Appointed to VA Advisory Committee on Women Veterans
Four new members have been appointed to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Advisory Committee on Women Veterans, an expert panel that advises VA’s Secretary on issues and programs impacting women Veterans. Established in 1983, the committee makes recommendations to the Secretary for policy and legislative changes. (1/3/17)
